Common questions
- What are the rules?
- Place exactly one bear in every colored honey patch. Bears are territorial — no two may share a comb lane in any of the three hex directions. Every level has one unique solution.
- How do I place a bear or claw mark?
- Double-tap a cell to place a bear. Tap or swipe to claw-mark cells that can’t hold a bear. Press and hold to highlight free lanes.
- Do I need an account?
- No. Progress, power-ups, and settings stay on your device.
- What is the Daily Challenge?
- Each day offers one shared puzzle that every player gets. Solve it to keep your streak and earn free power-ups, and see where you stand among everyone who cleared today’s board.
- How does the leaderboard work?
- The leaderboard is separate from the Daily Challenge. As you clear levels, you earn score and compete with other players. The top three each day receive Hint and Reveal rewards when the board resets.
- Can I choose a profile avatar?
- Yes. Open your profile from home to pick an avatar and backdrop. Your look appears on the leaderboard and with your Daily Challenge standing so other players can recognize you.
- What are Hints, Scan, and Reveal?
- Scan is free and unlimited — it checks your board for issues. Hints teach the next deduction in stages. Reveal places a high-impact bear and claws its lanes. You start with a small bank of Hints and Reveals; earn more from streaks, rewarded ads, or packs.
- Can I watch ads for power-ups?
- Yes. Optional rewarded video ads can grant free Hints or Reveals. You choose when to watch.
- What are in-app purchases?
- You can buy Hint/Reveal packs or Remove Ads (one-time). Payments are processed by Apple. We do not receive your card details.
- What is CombDoku Plus?
- CombDoku Plus is an optional auto-renewing subscription (monthly or yearly) with a free trial. It includes unlimited hints, no banner or interstitial ads, and a monthly allotment of Reveals. Manage or cancel anytime in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. If unused, the trial converts to a paid subscription. Restore Purchases in the app store screen if you reinstall.
- How do I cancel a subscription?
- Open iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → CombDoku Plus → Cancel Subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends to avoid renewal. Uninstalling the app does not cancel the subscription.
- How do I delete my data?
- Uninstall the app. CombDoku does not use accounts, so uninstalling removes local gameplay data from your device. If you have questions about analytics or advertising partner data, email hello@suenainteractive.com.
