Hold'em Coach 1.5: Ask Coach — Full Guide

1.5 is live. After a hand, you still get the full Coach Debrief — board, payouts, and notes on what you did on each street. Coach+ subscribers also get a second tab: Ask Coach.

What is Ask Coach?

Think of it as a follow-up conversation with the same coach who watched your hand. Type a question about that hand — "What were the dealer outs?", "Was my river bet too thin?", "Why Bet 4x here?" — and the coach answers with the actual cards, board, and strategy profile you were playing under.

Ask Coach is built for Ultimate Texas Hold'em — questions about the hand on screen, the board, dealer outs, bet sizing, and strategy profiles. It is not a general-purpose chatbot: don't expect poems, jokes, stories, code, or other off-topic requests. With a fixed daily message limit, use your messages judiciously on the hands that actually confuse you.

The hand summary stays pinned at the top: your cards, the board, the dealer's hand, and how each side finished. Your chat sits right below, so you're never guessing which hand the coach is talking about.

Ask Coach inside Coach Debrief — ask follow-up questions about the hand you just played.

How you'll use it

1. Finish a hand at the table.
2. Open Coach Debrief (same as today).
3. Tap the Ask Coach tab (Coach+ subscribers).
4. Type a question about that hand and send — the coach replies in context.

Answers can get specific: dealer outs broken down by card, whether a river bet was justified against the Basic or Disciplined profile, and plain-language reasoning tied to the board you actually saw. You can also ask how the same hand would have played under a different strategy — tap a suggested prompt like "What would Balanced do here?" or type your own comparison question.

Coach Debrief first — street-by-street notes. Tap Ask Coach when you want to dig deeper on that same hand.

Coach+ only

Ask Coach is included with an active Coach+ subscription on iOS and Android. Free players still get the full street-by-street Coach Debrief, live coaching at the table, Coach Academy, Coach Report, and Today's Leaderboard — same as today.

Daily message limit

Coach+ includes a fixed daily allowance of Ask Coach messages. It resets at local midnight. When you're out for the day, you'll see a heads-up in the debrief — come back tomorrow for more. The limit is fixed; it doesn't increase with chip packs or other purchases, so save your messages for the spots worth digging into.
